World Autism Awareness Day 2026

2026 Autism Awareness Month

April 2nd is a global moment to build understanding, reduce stigma, and promote acceptance. For 2026, the United Nations theme is:

“Autism and Humanity, Every Life Has Value.”

In Australia, Aspect leads Autism Awareness Month throughout April, helping create more inclusive communities.

How we help

At Exploring Autism, we take a personal and respectful approach to both assessments and therapy.

We focus on understanding each person’s unique strengths and challenges, drawing from evidence-based research, lived experience, and insights from the autistic community. Our goal is to offer practical, thoughtful support that meets people where they are.

Family Support

Our aim is to equip both clients and families so they have the resources to move from being overwhelmed with problems to being able to confidently seek solutions and celebrate diversity.

What is Autism?

Autism is a type of neurological development that is characterised primarily by differences in perception, sensation, movement and expression. It encompasses a wide spectrum of experience and autistic people can have unique strengths and challenges.
